Thursday, July 24th
3-4 pm: Arrival and settling in at Brownsville House (11369 Brownsville Road, Nassawadox, VA) and Volgenau Cottage accommodations
4:00-4:45 pm: Volgenau Virginia Coast Reserve programs presentation w/pizza dinner
5:00-7:30 pm: Evening Paddle on Phillips Creek w/TNC education staff
Friday, July 25th (Oyster Harbor Low 3:08 PM)
7:30-8:15 am: Breakfast on own
8:30-11:00 am: Boat to Hog Island for Birds and Barriers Exploration (TNC) Meet @ Brownsville
11:00-11:30 am: Travel to UVA Long Term Ecological Research (LTER)
11:30-1:00 pm: UVA Anheuser-Busch Coastal Research Center LTER Tour, lunch included in cost
1:00-5:00: Eelgrass Exploration/oyster restoration/seining/tanks w/TNC staff
5:30 pm: Dinner @ local restaurant TBD (cost not included in registration fee)
Saturday, July 26th
7:30-8:00am: Breakfast on own
8:00-8:30 am: Travel to Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve
8:30-11:00 am: Savage Neck Dunes NAP Exploration (DCR)
11:00-1:30: Explore Barrier Islands Center, lunch included in cost
1:30-2:00 pm: Wrap up and depart from BIC
**Folks who have a long way to travel can stay one more night at their respective houses and leave before 10 am on Sunday, July 27th**
*Options to explore either Thursday before 3 pm or after 2 pm on Saturday: To the south-Kiptopeke State Park, Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Charles Natural Area Preserve. To the north-Mutton Hunk Natural Area Preserve and Chincoteague National Wildlife
