The "Methods of Teaching Environmental Education" workshop is open ONLY to enrolled Virginia EE Certification Candidates who have completed and earned full credit in the following prerequisites:

Attended Criteria 2.1 "Professional Development of Environmental Educators" workshop
This hybrid workshop takes place over two virtual sessions and one in-person session.
Virtual meetings: Thursday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 10, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
In-Person meeting: Saturday, March 14, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm at the Sully Woodlands Stewardship Education Center in Centreville, VA
In addition, participants will complete some asynchronous assignments—both Pre-Work and In-Between Work.
Attendance at all three meetings is required.
Lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided on the 14th.
Topics covered include: differentiation, learning environments, teaching methods, developmentally appropriate education, inclusivity and equity, standards, assessment, and evaluation. Most importantly, this workshop's goal is to help you reach your goal of growing a more environmentally literate Virginia.

Attendees must have earned full credit in Criteria 1 in Canvas and attended the 2.1 Professional Development of Environmental Educators workshop before registering in order to attend.
Minimum of 5 attendees must enroll in order for this workshop to take place.
